Starter/Player Assistant – Mill Run Golf Club
Location: Uxbridge Township, Ontario
Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal (7-month contract)
Pay: $17.20 per hour

Company Summary

Mill Run Golf Club is one of the largest golf and banquet facilities in Durham Region. It is a semi-private golf club set in the rolling hills of Uxbridge Township. Its members and clientele are drawn from Durham & York Regions as well as Metropolitan Toronto. Mill Run Golf Club includes 27 Championship and 18 Executive holes as well as an extensive practice and instruction area.

We are seeking dedicated and motivated individuals to join our Golf Services team. Mill Run looks to provide the highest levels of customer service to its members and guests. As part of our team, you must work to achieve our goal of making sure every member and guest receives a high-quality experience.

Job Summary

This position is an extension of Golf services.

Successful applicants will be responsible for member and guest assistance during their round of golf. The following are other responsibilities of the position:

Maintain Pace of Play (tracking start times and completion times from starter & monitoring golf groups on course to ensure pace of play is maintained)
Provide on course guest service
Enforce on course rules and regulations
Create a professional friendly environment on the golf course
Maintain a clean and organized golf course
Communicate with the starter and the golf shop of guest’s status and other information.
Assist other team member duties as deemed necessary. (Golf shop, guest service and back shop)
Ensure that complaints are dealt with in a pleasant manner.
Record start times and calculate speed of play for all groups
