Ridge Course and Café Team Member

Position: Golf Course & Café Attendant
Department: Ridge Course at Cordova Bay

Wage: $20 Hourly plus gratuities
Job Type: Part-time & full-time, seasonal

Every job description at Cordova Bay Golf Course starts with ‘Deliver an outstanding customer experience’ and ends with ‘Miscellaneous duties as required’. We consider ourselves one large team with the singular mission of delivering an outstanding customer experience. The responsibility for delivering on this mission lies with every single person on staff. Some days that means helping out other team members with their jobs, sometimes it means fixing a customer’s flat tire or launching a rescue mission to get a pull cart out of a pond, it can mean singing happy birthday when a customer walks into the pro shop, it always means picking up litter on the property. We will fail or succeed as a team and it is everyone’s responsibility to ensure we succeed.
Job Description:
• Deliver an outstanding customer experience each and every day
• Be ready to join the buzz of Ridge Café at one of the best short courses you will ever play
• Reservation and check in of all golfers
• Cash handling, daily closing functions and deposits
• Share your passion for golf and service with all ridge players and guests
• Dazzle us with your attention to detail and world class organizational skills as we host a variety of customers and events through the season
• Work well as part of a team and willingness to support all aspects of the Ridge Course operation
• Miscellaneous duties as required.
Experience required:
1. General knowledge of the game of golf
2. Experience in a customer service environment
3. Experience or knowledge of food preparation is preferred
4. 19 years of age
 

Skills required:

• Serving it Right Certification
• Food Safe Certification (preferred)
• Sense of Humour
• Sense of Humour

Schedule:
The Ridge Course operating hours will require staff to be available for a minimum of 3 days per week that may include weekday, weekend, and evening shifts to meet the demands of the business.
