Established in 1899, this historic golf club includes a semi-private 9-hole course, driving range, putting and chipping greens, and a fully-licensed club house. The deck and patio overlooking Sturgeon Lake is the perfect spot for a post-round snack and cold drink, or better yet, a quick recharge before heading out for a second 9 holes. Docking facilities are free and cart rentals are available.

Role Description
This is a full-time seasonal (32 to 34 week) on-site role for a Director of Golf Operations at Sturgeon Point Golf Club. This role involves managing the day-to-day golf clubhouse operations including food and beverage, merchandising of golf retail, the online booking system and the driving range. The Director will be responsible for overseeing golf instruction, managing tournaments/special events and providing exceptional experiences for members and guests.

Job Summary
The Director of Golf Operations will collaborate closely with the Board of Directors, Greens Superintendent and staff to deliver exceptional, member-focused golf services at the club. With the expansion of our outdoor facilities, the successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to help build and shape the most picturesque, welcoming and playable facility in the Kawarthas. Qualifications
Mandatory Qualifications:
• Food and Beverage Management experience.
• Event Management.
• Sales and procurement experience for pro-shop merchandise.
• Experience in budgeting for business operations
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Customer service orientation
• Ability to work effectively in a team
Preferred Qualifications:
• Golf Instruction, Golf Course Management, and Golf Management skills
• Certification or degree in Golf Course Management or related field
• Class A Member of the PGA of Canada or another recognized PGA certification.

Compensation
• $1,000 - $1,400 per week commensurate with experience and qualifications.
• Lesson Revenue is 100% to the instructor for outdoor lessons
