The Rock is a world-class golf facility designed by legendary golfer Nick Faldo. Sculpted on the shores of Lake Rosseau in Muskoka, The Rock is one of Canada’s most beautiful courses. The course offers a challenging 18-hole experience with a scenic patio overlooking the 18th green. The Rock prides itself on serving great tasting food and providing an atmosphere for our golfers to relax and unwind with friends over delicious dishes and craft cocktails.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Plan and produce menus that reflect creativity and quality
  • Collaborate with event organizers to execute culinary offerings for tournaments and special events
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, hygiene and H&S compliance
  • Oversee the beverage cart operations
  • Work closely with Ownership and the General Manager to monitor, maintain and report against food, beverage and labour budgets
  • Recruit, train, develop, schedule and supervise staff
  • Ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals to The Rock standard
  • Maintain stock levels, minimize waste and enforce proper storage methods
  • Ensure adherence to all safety standards and best practices for kitchen operations
  • Maintain a clean and compliant working environment

Qualifications and Experience

  • Strong leadership skills
  • Reliable team player with effective communication skills
  • Minimum of 5-years experience leading a kitchen
  • Experience preparing annual budgets and explaining key variances
  • Food handler certification (preferred)
  • A knowledge of Squirell POS System is an asset
