Job Details/Qualifications

Our innovative and growing company is looking to fill up to three positions for a Back-Shop attendant. This is a temporary summer position beginning as early as April. Please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications. While this is our ideal list, we will consider candidates that do not necessarily have the qualifications, but have sufficient experience and talent.

Responsibilities:

  • Wash and park carts (using responsible driving speed, and always keep feet in cart)
  • Wash rental clubs
  • Responsible for club storage for package groups - before and after round is completed
  • Return keys & radio at the end of each shift
  • Range picking & washing range balls
  • Move the tee markers and clean up baskets
  • Return carts parked at motel to cart parking area by Pro Shop
  • Collect garbage at motel, sort and deposit in appropriate bins at clubhouse
  • Collect garbage & recycling from golf course and ½-house, sort and deposit in appropriate bins at clubhouse (Any and all garbage must be picked up (cigarette butts, trash along the road)
  • Replace water solution for ball washers
  • Power wash carts
  • Wash and dry glove boxes
  • Report any cart damage, by documenting details on report sheet
  • Return lost & found equipment to the Pro Shop as soon as possible
  • Advise Back Shop where you are going and how long it is going to take. ie: range, course garbage
  • Check with the Back Shop when you are completed tasks for additional assignments
  • If your supervisor is not around, ensure keys are never issued without sales slip or consent
  • All areas around the Back Shop, Pro Shop, and Clubhouse must be kept clean, including pop machines and walls

Job Requirements:

  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Completed WHIMS training at Pike Lake (training will be provided)
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
  • Professional appearance and manners
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Strong organization skills with attention to detail

Working Conditions:

  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Flexible to work days, evenings, and weekends depending on tournaments, golf packages and group bookings
  • Overtime as required
  • Lifting or moving up to 50lbs may be required
  • Due to the risks associated with this job, the employee cannot be under the influence of medicinal or recreational cannabis, alcohol, or illicit drugs while at work.

Pay: $17.20 per hour
