Located in the heart of nature at the foot of the western slope of Mount Owl's Head, our golf club, designed by renowned architect Graham Cooke, offers a unique experience for golfers of all levels. Since 2018, it has been part of Destination Owl's Head and has benefited from major investments that have contributed to its growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Superintendent, you will be required to:
- Ensure and actively participate in the management of the maintenance of the golf course and its surroundings (parking areas, access roads, gardens, greens, etc.).
- Actively contribute to the management of field employees, including hiring, training, supervision and scheduling.
- Train staff on the use of devices and equipment, with a focus on safety measures.
- Collaborate with the mechanic to ensure the proper operation and maintenance of the equipment in the field.
- Make recommendations to the Superintendent on the condition of the land and infrastructure.
- Ensure the management of fertilizers and pesticides in accordance with current standards, as well as conscientiously apply pesticides and fertilizers.
- Apply and enforce health and safety policies in place.
- Take charge of the day-to-day management of the grounds in the absence of the Superintendent.
Desired profile
- Experience as an Assistant Superintendent (asset).
- Minimum of 2 years of study in turf management or related diploma, or in the process of being obtained. We are also open to applications from people with no specific training in the field, but who demonstrate a strong interest and willingness to learn. Training may be offered.
- Valid Quebec pesticide certificate (or to be obtained within 3 months of hiring).
- Good knowledge of mechanical, carpentry and electrical principles.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and natural leadership.
- Resourcefulness, rigor and attention to detail.
- Ability to organize and manage priorities effectively.
- Ability to work long hours efficiently and physically as required.
- Know how to handle a chainsaw safely.
- Have a good knowledge of the operation and maintenance (repair) of irrigation systems.
- Respect for the environment and eco-responsible gestures.
- Demonstrate good teamwork skills and willingness to learn.
- Bilingualism (French/English) an asset.

- Full-time position for the full golf season (minimum 32 weeks), with the possibility of annual employment at the ski resort in the winter.
