Do you have a passion for golf and are looking for a seasonal opportunity to develop your customer service skills while engaging with customers daily? We are looking for customer-oriented individuals to join our team for the 2025 golf season. This individual will play a key role in delivering exceptional service to our members and guests while overseeing the daily operations of the Pro Shop. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in the customer service field and a great steppingstone for those looking to get into the golf industry.

Oakview is a 9- hole golf course located near Gretna, MB . We are looking for highly motivated employee(s) to join our team as pro shop attendant(s). We require candidates who are available to work from mid April/May through to mid October including weekends and holidays. Willing to work with University students around their schedule Generally, shifts run 5 to 8 hours. Hours of operation will depend on time of the year.

Key responsibilities of a pro shop attendant:

Customer Service:
Greet customers, answer questions about merchandise and provide information regarding course rules and regulations.

Sales Transactions:
Operate the point-of-sale system, process sales transactions, accept payments, and handle returns.

Inventory Management:
Stock shelves, maintain accurate inventory records, receive new merchandise, and rotate stock to ensure freshness.

Tee Time Management:
Book tee times, check-in golfers, collect green fees, and manage tee sheet.

Golf Cart Management:
Assign golf carts to golfers, ensure carts are clean and operational, and collect cart fees.

Pro Shop Maintenance:
Keep the pro shop clean and organized, including displays, fixtures, and fitting areas.

Communication:
Answer phone calls, respond to customer inquiries, and effectively communicate with other staff members.


Required skills and qualifications:

Smart Serve (required)

Knowledge of Golf:
Basic understanding of golf rules, etiquette, and equipment is an asset

Customer Service Skills:
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to interact with diverse customers, and provide a positive experience.

Computer Proficiency:
Ability to use point-of-sale systems, reservation software, and basic computer applications.

Physical Ability:
Able to stand for extended periods, lift merchandise, and perform light cleaning tasks.

Pay will start at $16.00/hour, increase depending on experience
