HOUSEKEEPING - Seguin Valley Golf Club

Seguin Valley Golf Club is a privately owned golf course. We strive to create a happy environment/workplace for our staff and guests.

The Housekeeping department is the heart of the Stay and Play. You are also responsible for the cleanliness, aesthetic upkeep of the clubhouse, dining room, all public areas, and property. No level of service or friendliness can equal the sensation a guest has upon entering a spotless, tidy and fresh area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF HOUSEKEEPING

• Receive, sort, treat soiled linen
• Washing and drying of stay and play linens, towels from pro shop and kitchen towels.
• Check laundered articles to be sure stains are removed, before they go back to the cabins.
• Prepare linens to go to cabins for next day, or storage for future use
• Stack linen supplies on storage shelves.
• Housekeeping communicates with members of the housekeeping team, Stay and Play Co-ordinator and GM.
• Report damage/concerns to Stay and Play Co-ordinator or GM (if S&P co-ordinator is not available) right away
• Return forgotten items to lost and found Stay and Play office with a note as to which cabin it was found in.
• Keeping an inventory on cleaning supplies and report to S & P co-ordinator for re-order.
• Cleaning cabins and preparing for next arrival.
• Care and control of all equipment used throughout the day, such as vacuums.
• Being responsible for the assigned area ensuring the cleanliness is up to standard, hallways, pathways/ ground etc.
• Removal of all garbage throughout cabins.
• Counting of all inventory in cabins, ensuring all is there and replace if needed.
• Positive and effective communication with the housekeeping team, including other room attendants, house people and laundry attendants.
• Ability to follow step by step daily functions
• Cell phones are permitted for work purposes only

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/REQUIREMENTS

• Indoors in the laundry room, outdoors in all weather travelling to cabins
• Utilizing machines and chemical products
• Job requires long periods of standing
• To perform extensive walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, reaching and stretching.
• Able to lift 20 pounds. Lifting, carrying and reaching
• Driving a cart/van to get to the cabins
